• One of the original Osaka Five, Denime helped pioneer the Japanese denim movement that would eventually reshape the global denim industry. Continuing the brand's legacy of faithful vintage reproductions, this rendition of the iconic Model 66 is crafted from a custom Kurabo black warp, white weft selvedge denim. Woven on vintage Toyoda shuttle looms using sulfur-dyed black yarns, the 14.5oz fabric features a muted black color with a texture and feel mirroring mid-century denim styles. Presented in its unsanforized state, the denim will shrink to its intended tag size with the first soak and gradually soften with wear. The jeans are finished with a range of period-correct details paying homage to the original 1966 design, including a paper patch, bartacks in lieu of rivets, hidden coin pocket selvedge, and custom engraved hardware.
