Canvas sneakers were standard issue throughout the 1960s, designed with a lightweight upper and weather-resistant sole for training use. Following WWII, major sporting goods companies acquired military contracts to develop and adapt sneakers for training purposes. The Real McCoy's honors this design with materials and construction that closely replicate the original models.
