- The Uguisu denim from Samurai combines American, Australian, and Brazilian cottons, woven at low tension to produce a high slub 17oz selvedge denim. The fabric is dyed a soft, faded green inspired by vintage British army fatigues. The denim receives its name from the Japanese "Uguisu" bush warbler, a songbird whose calls mark the arrival of spring. Packed with symbolism referencing the brand's traditional warrior ethos, the jeans include special edition iron buttons, jacquard pocket bags, back pocket rivets, and a custom branded leather patch.
