- The XX Series is Pure Blue Japan's original 14oz Japanese selvedge denim. This special edition features a shadow selvedge indigo warp, black weft fabric. Since its debut in the early 2000s, the XX Series has become one of the most widely celebrated styles in the Pure Blue Japan catalog, earning the brand a cult following in the process. Woven on vintage shuttle looms, the denim makes use of proprietary slub yarns with irregular thickness to achieve its unique surface texture. Finished with custom nickel buttons, a deerskin natural leather patch, and the signature Pure Blue Japan indigofera leaf embroidery. This installment comes pre-rinsed for a softer feel and more convenient sizing.
